Care to Change the World

Composition
Each Continental Social Council comprises:

25–40 members, based on population and geographic spread.

A mix of public sector liaisons, civil society representatives, SME leaders, youth advocates, academic voices, and community changemakers.

Appointments are made through open nomination with regional balance.

Term of Service

Members serve a 3-year term, renewable once.
-
Leadership (Chair, Vice-Chair, Rapporteur) is elected internally for a 1-year renewable term.

Meetings
-
Councils meet quarterly at minimum, with the possibility for extraordinary sessions.

All meetings are hybrid (physical + virtual) and must maintain public transparency unless security or confidentiality is justified.

Decision-Making

All formal recommendations require a two-thirds majority.

Dissenting voices are documented and presented alongside the majority position in final reports.

Transparency and Public Records
-
Minutes, summaries, and reports are published on the CGSA website.

A digital platform will facilitate ongoing consultations, updates, and documentation.

Reporting Line

Councils report directly to the CGSA Steering Secretariat.

Recommendations and alerts are fed into the coordination mechanism of GSEA and affiliated implementation bodies.

Ethics and Code of Conduct

Members are bound by a strict ethical framework prohibiting political partisanship, conflicts of interest, or personal financial gain.

A small Ethics Sub-Committee oversees compliance and can recommend suspensions or removals.

Annual Review and Global Dialogue

Each Council presents at the Global Social Equity Summit.
-
Shared learnings and regional insights contribute to a consolidated annual GSEA report on equity progress.
